The trial of former President Jacob Zuma’s private prosecution case against his successor, Cyril Ramaphosa, has been postponed to February 6, 2025, by the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg. This postponement is to allow the appeal processes before the Constitutional Court to be concluded.
When Zuma appears again in February next year, he will be expected to furnish the court with details regarding the appeal process.
Judge Dario Dosio handed down the order.
“According to the draft order dated August 6, 2024, the criminal proceedings have been postponed to February 6, 2025. The private prosecutor, Zuma, will update the court on any developments in the case at that time.”
