ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula announced that he will soon notify the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal Provincial Executive Committees about the decision to restructure them. The ANC has decided to reorganize the leadership of the two provinces in accordance with the party’s constitution.
Mbalula says this means that some NEC members will be deployed to beef up the administration of the party in the two provinces.
“.. I will write to every branch and to every province to inform them about the decision and the fact that they must wait until we come back to them. When we come back to them on the ground next week all branches and all regions they will be briefed and they will be told on how the reconfiguration is going to unfold and also in the context of the ANC constitution up until then hold the horses. But the decision is taken is done and we finished yesterday and we were all there and the president presented and we all clap hands and left and went home.”
