The Democratic Alliance (DA) has expressed its readiness to collaborate with any political party to enhance the performance of struggling municipalities nationwide. This statement comes in response to ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa’s comments to party councilors, in which he detailed a service delivery action plan that was approved during the recent National Executive Committee meeting over the weekend.
Ramaphosa admitted that the best-run municipalities and towns in the country are those governed by the DA.
DA spokesperson Willie Aucamp says their mandate is to serve the public.
“If we can make a contribution in any other municipality where the ANC governs to assist with service delivery in those municipalities, we will most certainly do so. We will gladly take hands with anybody to improve service delivery for everybody in South Africa.”
