Former South African Rainbow Alliance (SARA) leader Colleen Makhubele and Bapedi Crown Prince Adil Nchabeleng will be sworn in as members of Parliament for the uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party on Tuesday next week.
The MK Party’s seats in the house became vacant after it fired some of its MPs last year following the establishment of the seventh Parliament.
It is the third-largest party in Parliament.
In a statement, the party says their appointment to the National Assembly reinforces their unwavering commitment to transformative policies, socio-economic justice, and national progress.
Makhubele is also a former City of Johannesburg Speaker and Nchabeleng is a prominent energy expert.
