Umkhonto weSizwe Party President Jacob Zuma has expressed concerns about party members who compete for positions within the organization. He made these remarks in the Kwa-Ximba area, north of Durban, during a mini-rally held in preparation for the party’s first anniversary celebration on December 15 at Moses Mabhida Stadium. Zuma emphasized that internal conflict over positions among members hinders the growth of the party.
He also says such behavior can potentially prevent new members from joining the party.
“I’m not sure if you’re aware that challenges and disputes are happening. Some of these conflicts arise within the party, particularly between the convener and the co-coordinator. What exactly are they fighting over? It seems that some individuals are wasting their energy on matters that won’t benefit the party. Why the urgency? When we eventually govern the country, there will be plenty of positions available.”
Zuma also told members that the party has collected enough evidence to prove that votes were stolen in the May elections.
“We have all the evidence now and what I can say is that all our votes were stolen. This means that soon you will be called to run the country in Pretoria. Don’t be scared as I am telling you the truth, perhaps it can be the end of this year.”
