The Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Limpopo will hold a march today to the office of Premier Dr. Phophi Ramathuba. They are demanding immediate action to address the severe water shortages in Polokwane. Additionally, the EFF plans to raise concerns about the high costs of electricity and the high unemployment rates in the province.
EFF Limpopo Chairperson Lawrence Mapoulo criticized the situation, stating, “The Polokwane Municipality has collapsed. The water situation is catastrophic. As we speak, there is currently no water available. Toilets are not functioning, and when the municipality delivers water through their tankers, it poses a serious threat to our community’s health because the water they are providing is filthy. Our people are at risk.”
